Teaching internship

 In this section, the instructions to the students who will take the PPGEBM TEACHING INTERNSHIP are detailed.

 

 



 

  •  Coordinator of PPGEBM or professor of the Program appointed by the Coordination.
 

 

 

  • The objective of this course is to contribute to the formation of graduate students in higher-level teaching. The teaching internship may include the following activities to be performed by the student:


  • I- contribute to the preparation of the course and/or class plan;


  • II- prepare theoretical and/or practical classes;


  • III- teach theoretical and/or practical classes, with a maximum of 30% of the total course load of the subject;


  • IV- correct exercises and/or tests and


  • V- follow up on learning assessments.

 
  • Hours: 24 hours (2 credits).

  • The student's activity is to carry out an internship in teaching in some discipline of the undergraduate course of Biomedical Engineering at UFABC. For that, the student must present a brief work plan describing which discipline he intends to work in and which activities he intends to carry out, with a respective schedule. This work plan must have the consent of the professor of the discipline that the student will act and of his/her advisor.
  • At the end of the internship in the discipline, the student must submit a brief report on their activities carried out in the teaching internship.

The discipline does not have weekly classroom activity.

 

Occasionally, meetings are held between the responsible professor and the enrolled students to clarify doubts and exchange experiences.

 

At the beginning of the four-month period, the responsible professor sends an email to the enrolled students clarifying the procedure for the four-month period in question and defining the calendar for delivering the work plan and final report.

 

 

 


 

  • The student will be evaluated by the work plan and internship report presented, and the final report must be delivered with the evaluation of the professor responsible for the discipline.
