IMPORTANT!!!!
In addition to the disciplines offered by the PPGEBM, it is possible to request the use of credits (from disciplines taken at UFABC), validation (disciplines from other educational institutions) and transfer of disciplines. However, the relevance of these disciplines for each student's master's degree will be judged by the Coordination of the postgraduate course in Biomedical Engineering and the acceptance of these disciplines is not automatic.
At UFABC, the academic year is divided into 3 (three) four-month periods of 14 (fourteen) weeks in length. In line with the UFABC Postgraduate Regulation, one credit unit corresponds to 12 (twelve) hours of programmed activities comprising (a) classes, (b) seminars, (c) laboratory or field work, (d) individual studies and (e) writing the dissertation or thesis. Thus, a course with a workload of 144 hours will count 12 credits, and these 144 hours can be achieved from different hourly compositions of items (a) to (e) listed above.
