RESUMO:

Phthalocyanines are aromatic molecules with a high photosensitive response and great potential for use in cancer treatment modality Photodynamic Therapy (PDT). The photosensitive efficiency of these agents depends mainly on the surrounding medium. In that sense, the present work seeks to analyze three different combinations of phthalocyanines and polymeric micellar solutions and polymeric blankets, in order to evaluate the biological properties of each combination. The employed polymeric micelles solution will be built base on triblock copolymers (LutrolÒF127, PluronicÒP123 and UltraricÒPE62) and blanket, which are formed by polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and primarily obtained by the electrospinning technique. The final micellar-phthalocyanines combination will be characterized by different spectroscopic techniques (as UV-VIS, Steady Fluorescence Spectroscopy and Lifetime Fluorescence Spectroscopy). All polymeric blankets will be examined by Scanning Electron Microscopy and Infrared Spectroscopy. Additionally, the biological potential will be investigated by the interaction of some of these systems with Vero lineage cell culture.
