EVIDENCE-BASED ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLIED FOR BREAST CANCER SURVIVAL PREDICTION
Breast cancer is the most prevalent and leading cause of cancer-related death in women worldwide. In Brazil, excluding non-melanoma skin tumors, breast cancer has the highest incidence in women in all regions, with higher rates in the South and Southeast regions. Breast cancer survival may reflect the severity of the disease, efficacy and effectiveness of treatment, among other aspects. In this context, there is a lack of Machine Learning models applied to the prediction of breast cancer survival that can be incorporated into clinical practice, due to the different results presented in previous studies. In view of the above, this research presents evidence on the topic that may contribute to clinical practice.
