SUBÁREA: Saúde Pública
SUMMARY:

Health Information System (SIS), a mechanism for collecting, processing and organizing information, was introduced in the national territory half a century ago, through the regulation of civil registration. It is an instrument used as decision-making support in health  care planning, evaluation and organization of health services. From this historical milestone, numerous SIS were developed in the country. In the context of Primary Health Care (PHC), the gateway to the Unified Health System (SUS), several SISs were also developed, with the Health Information System for Primary Care – SISAB being the current database in the country. In this context, in order to capture and send data produced in PHC to the aforementioned national database, eliminate system fragmentation and ensure interoperability between SIS, the Ministry of Health established and advocated the Implementation of the e-SUS Primary Care Strategy (e-SUS APS), which consists of two software programs: the Simplified Data Collection software - e-SUS APS CDS and the Electronic Citizen Record Software - e-SUS APS PEC, for all States. Given this scenario, interest arose in Analyzing the Implementation of the e-SUS APS Strategy in the municipalities of the State of Roraima, in the extreme north of the country. Therefore, we chose to carry out descriptive research, with a quantitative-qualitative approach. The sample of research participants, 15 managers working in PHC, was intentional. As a data collection instrument, we used a questionnaire with 30 questions (attached). It was evident from the research results that: PHC managers in the municipalities surveyed have a high level of education (undergraduate and postgraduate), in addition to significant experience in PHC; In all municipalities there is someone responsible for implementing e-SUS APS; The technological capacity existing in the municipalities is inadequate; In 86.7% of the municipalities, the collected data is stored, organized and sent to SISAB, through the Municipal Centralizer and the application used in 86.7% of the municipalities is e-SUS APS PEC; There are security tools for data collected in 93.3% of municipalities; Managers pointed out the following weaknesses in the implementation and operationalization of e-SUS APS: connectivity, technological capacity, training process for teams, technical support and support from the State.
