SUMMARY:

Through the development of an animal experimentation model with induced arrhythmias for the study of the fundamentals of electrocardiographic mapping (EMS), a technical, scientific and market model proposal is offered for the consolidation and nationalization of a 3D electroanatomical mapping equipment of the heart with a focus on patients of the Unified Health System (SUS).

This equipment is imported, at a high cost, and there is no technology that allows it to be used in the SUS, being strictly used for private procedures or with agreements through more expensive plans.

The development of a national system is of paramount importance, for this it is necessary to present technical, scientific, and market information in advance of its development. 

Specific Objectives:

Technical study: development of a proof of concept with an isolated heart reperfused in Langendorff solution in a rabbit torso model, with a flexible printed circuit board analogous to an electrode vest for studies of arrhythmias (induced);

Feasibility study: market study, immersion and commercial requirements for the global scenario for the development of an electroanatomical mapping equipment with public-private partnerships (PPP); 

Research of regulatory requirements: regulatory rationale for the development of electroanatomical mapping equipment based on ISO 13485;

Engineering value preposition: systematization of specifications, development of risk management, prototyping, validation, verification, reliability and usability;

Regulatory impact analysis, essential safety and efficacy requirements, and sanitary framework;  

Product management and challenges for the management of electroanatomical mapping equipment throughout its lifecycle.
