RESUMO:

Due to the relevance of early diagnosis in the treatment of breast cancer, the sudy presented here aims to investigate possible variations in the follow-up of patients in the public health care network in a health institute located in the ABC region of São Paulo. This research aims to analyze medical records and reports of patients undergoing mammography exams. The objective will be to identify treatment standards adopted in each case. The elaboration of this survey will make it possible to identify similarities and differences in patient coverage throughout the flow of the breast cancer diagnosis chain, in addition to the correct follow-up rate among the mammograms performed, thus analyzing the follow-up of the diagnosis of post-mammography breast cancer. Data analysis will have a quantitative and qualitative way, comparing the data among themselves, and discussing their relevance.
