SUMMARY:

This dissertation investigates and consolidates a set of models designed to describe, simulate, and analyze the electro-thermal and hysteretic behavior of vanadium dioxide (VO₂), with emphasis on applications in neuromorphic computing, memristive devices, and non-volatile memory architectures. The work adopts a multipaper thesis structure and is composed of three complementary articles that progressively advance the modeling of resistive dynamics, electro-thermal coupling, and major–minor hysteresis loop properties through the Limiting Loop Proximity (LLP) operator.
