HOW QUALITY 4.0 TOOLS SUPPORT TQC AND TQM QUALITY SYSTEMS PRINCIPLES
The main objective of this research is to identify how the established quality methodologies, known worldwide as TQC (Total Quality Control) and TQM (Total Quality Management) are supported by the tools of the Quality 4.0 concept that were also influenced by the disruptive technologies of Industry 4.0 in last decade.
In order to cross the relationship between TQC and TQM and how Quality 4.0 supports these quality systems, a qualitative investigation method was adopted through a survey questionnaire applied to one of the most important automakers in the world, also based in Brazil, Toyota from Brazil. From a literature review and the relationship of concepts and synergy, it would be possible to analyze and reach conclusions through this research work.
In the context of the evolution of the industry, the quality function has a decisive influence on the delivery of excellent products and services to customers. In this context and mainly in the 20th century, quality management systems were developed and established in the periods of Industry 2.0 and 3.0, bringing undeniable benefits to quality such as TQC (Total Quality Control) originating in Japan and TQM (Total Quality Management ) originating in the United States of America, both with the same content. In this context, quality is closely linked to the traditional quality management system, and now with Industry 4.0, it is being called Quality 4.0.
