Technological advancement allows a variety of smart objects to be connected and controlled remotely over the Internet, in the so-called Internet of Things. LoRaWAN networks enable communication over long distances and with low power consumption. However, these networks are susceptible to jamming attacks, in which attackers carry out transmissions with the intention of interfering with the communication of other devices on the network. This work analyzes the impact of jammers on LoRaWAN networks positioned in different places on the network. Simulation results show that attackers can degrade network performance, especially when located close to the gateway.
