Optimization Module for the Electricity Auction Determination
The implementation of the New Model of the Brazilian Electricity Sector brought to the area of system operation planning a new methodology for the purchase and sale of electricity and, consequently, there was a need for studies and development of tools for the use of electricity contracting by the electricity industry. In this sense, the present
work proposes a model for optimization, based on artificial intelligence technique, more specifically genetic algorithms, for the purchase of electric energy in Brazil. The methodology implemented is based on a future analysis for energy purchase in auctions of electric energy that will be determined by the implemented smart module. The good results obtained in the implemented test cases demonstrate the feasibility of the program, as well as it can be said that the use of this tool can help agents in decision making that leads to minimizing business costs involves energy. Finally, it can be concluded that the risks of future investments can be minimized.
