SECTOR SCENARIO IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CENTRALIZED PLANTS FOR WIND AND SOLAR SOURCES: ANALYSIS ON THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE ASPECTS OF PUBLIC POLICIES AND REGULATORY CONTEXT
The dissertation aims to present a bibliographic review of the development of electric energy generation in Brazil, presenting a historical context of the electric sector and actions and institutions that helped in the viability of the current Brazilian electricity matrix, focusing mainly on generation from wind and solar sources. Therefore, the general objective is to demonstrate the regulatory actions and public policies that enabled the growth of the development of centralized power plant projects from these renewable sources, such as the energy auctions that encouraged the increase in the generation of energy from wind and solar sources and the discount applied to transmission and distribution tariffs for incentivized power plants. In addition to presenting the positive aspects, this paper also has the specific objective of presenting the scenario and future challenges for entrepreneurs which work in the construction of these types of plants, such as: The end of the discount applied to incentivized sources. The problem of connecting wind and solar generators. The decrease in the number of electric energy auctions; Changes in the methodology for calculating the TUST and TUSD. Therefore, it is intended to carry out a comparative analysis of the challenges presented, seeking to understand the future impacts on the development of centralized wind and solar power plants.
