SUMMARY:

The level of electrical power required to perform fast charging of electric vehicles to the point of reaching a time equivalent to the fueling time of a conventional combustion vehicle, indicate a growing trend in the adoption of local energy storage systems in order to minimize the direct impact on the low-voltage electricity distribution network, which currently has limited power values.

Faced with this challenging scenario, the objective of this research is the development of a local solution for the consolidation of electrical power through the use of a kinetic energy storage system capable of technically enabling the use of high-power fast chargers classified as Level 3 to power the electric vehicles.

The research proposes the integration of a local energy storage system to the charging system of electric vehicles powered at low voltage in alternating current that will be able to carry out the energy consolidation and the transformation to direct current to the point of allowing fast charging at high power equivalent to the usual time to fill the fuel tank of a conventional combustion vehicle.
