Local governements and Food and Nutrition Security Policies: a case study of Santo André Municipality
It is research focused on the study of food and nutrition security policy because it ensures the fundamental right to food and food and nutrition security (DHAA). This theme will be approached from a local perspective, that is, how this social and intersectoral policy has been contributing to the development of municipal government, from the perspective of food waste mitigation and hunger fight, besides examining specifically how it, through the National Food and Nutrition Security System (SISAN), was implemented by a municipality that also make up the case study, the Municipality of Santo André; analyzing the contributions provided by the experiences developed by a strategic action that are the government food banks, in which the in natura products considered non-commercial, but suitable for human consumption, are donations to certain groups in situation. vulnerability and food insecurity. The work may contribute to future research in the field of public policies for food and nutrition security, in its interface with issues related to sustainability and context of broadening citizenship.
