SUMMARY:

The current investigation deals with institutionalized social participation in public policies for the rural area of São Paulo from 2014 to 2022. It is an exploratory case study. The analysis will be based on a bibliographical and documentary review of the topic in question, checking whether the demands of civil society are met in their areas of activity and in the rural policies implemented by the municipality, aiming to qualify social participation for the topic and debate its impact. Through the analysis of the research material, it is expected to qualify social participation within the scope of public policies in the sample, as well as point out points of interest and improvement of this participation.
