SUMMARY:

The Angolan education system has faced significant challenges as a result of
decades of armed conflict and political instability. From 1978 to 2016, the government
Angolan government implemented a series of educational reforms with the aim of improving the
situation of education in the country. For example, the Basic Law of the Educational System
promulgated in 2001 and updated in 2016, aiming to establish a legal framework and
institutional framework for the education sector. This study focuses on educational public policies
implemented in the Angolan State, that is, Basic Laws of the Educational System and its
impact on the right to education. The main objective is to examine how these policies have
influenced access, equity, and the right to education in the country. The study uses a
qualitative approach, based on literature review and document analysis. through this
analysis, it was identified that Angolan educational public policies in their format
legislation have sought to promote universal access to education, improve the quality of
education and reduce educational inequalities. Thus, from this research, it is intended to
answer the starting question posed and arrive at the results based on the analyzes regarding
the impact on the right to education from the practical and enforceable point of view of these Laws.
