Youth and the world of work: State action and criticism of entrepreneurship
Analysis of the Bolsa Trabalho Program - Youth, work and digital fabrication (2016-2017)
Amid the scenario of uncertainty and insecurity present in contemporary society that plagues young people, social entrepreneurship is seen as an alternative and solution to the fragile relationship between youth, work and education in the face of new work dynamics. The objective of this study is to understand the tensions that involve young people inserted in a context of social inequality, whose escape valve has been entrepreneurship. This strategy has been receiving prominence and being incorporated into public policies for youth. Through the analysis of the Bolsa Trabalho Program - Youth, Work and Digital Manufacturing (2016/2017) implemented in the city of São Paulo, this study sought to understand how entrepreneurship has been inserted in the scope of training for young people, pointing out the solidity and weaknesses of the only municipal public policy in São Paulo, focused on youth and work. The main objective is to contribute to the discussion on the formulation of policies that dialogue more and more with the current reality and with the specific trajectories of young people in the city.
