SUMMARY:

Autistic Spectrum Disorder refers to a series of conditions characterized by deficits related to non-verbal communication and social behavior, therefore, these people may have certain difficulties in social relationships, such as making and maintaining a friendship, or even an affective relationship and other difficulties. A literary research was carried out to find out how the literature has documented intervention proposals aimed at teaching social skills to adults with this diagnosis, after this survey, it was noted that only two returned articles focused at teaching social skills to adults through some kind of software technology. The present study aims to verify if a digital platform with experimental tasks that simulates interpersonal relationships, through social stories, is enough to guarantee teaching conditions for some social skills (Assertive Conversation and Expression of Positive Feelings), in adults with ASD with or without ID. A digital platform was created containing two teaching modules, one for each HS evaluated. The module was composed by the simulation of three situations of social interaction presented in the format of social history, with characters in a university context. The module started with a baseline test, in which the social story was presented and followed by questions that did not provide a differential consequence and hint. Depending on the participants' answers to the questions, they were guided to carry out the social teaching stories for each SH. The sample consisted of 10 young people, who were divided into two groups, who were exposed to the teaching modules in different order. Initial results show that all participants performed better on tests after the teaching modules, average performance of 73.68% at baseline, compared to 92.1% after the teaching modules. Therefore, social stories, available on a digital platform, and presented with no differential consequence and tips, seem to contribute to the learning of HS for young people with ASD.
