RESUMO:

One of the pillars that sustain the Brazilian economy is the performance of micro and small companies, which together represent 90% of Brazilian companies. Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, these companies have suffered a strong impact due to the need for social isolation and the fall in the purchasing power of the population, many of them having to go out of business, causing more social problems such as rising unemployment. The companies that remain active are those that have invested in innovations, such as offering their services using the internet, social networks and home delivery of products. In view of this national reality, it is of fundamental importance to analyze the factors that led to the closure of several companies, in order to propose solutions to maintain the survival of micro and small companies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of surveys conducted by Sebrae that collected information on the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on Brazilian micro and small businesses from March to November 2020 will be analyzed. The analysis will be of inferential statistical type through the logistic regression model. With the results of this research, it is expected to objectively and scientifically point out the survival factors of these MSEs in this current phase.
