SUMMARY:
With the advent of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) several studies have emphasized the importance of digital technologies and their possible benefits for organizations, making their processes more effective and efficient. Digital technologies can also allow the removal of time and distance restrictions on communication and product distribution. In this scenario, the adoption of Internet of Things or Internet of Things (IoT) technologies are considered the gateway to the digitization of manufacturing and Supply Chain (SC). In the process of this adoption, few studies have deeply analyzed the role of top management. Thus, the objective of this study is to verify the relationship between Top Management Support and IoT Adoption and the possible relationship between IoT Adoption and SC Performance. To achieve this objective, a conceptual model was developed and will be tested, based on a quantitative research in companies from different sectors in Brazil. The collected data will be analyzed through the technique of structural equation modeling (SEM) using the method of partial least squares (PLS).
