SUMMARY:

This research aims to present the relationship between the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) between the years 1991 and 2022 and understand the challenges for the country in this relationship, if any, as well as the advantages in concluding the current Organization Accession Process. Through interviews and e-mail exchanges with authorities, theoretical, bibliographical and documentary research of an exploratory and explanatory nature, a political and economic context of this relationship was presented, with data on Brazilian participation and interest in the OECD, which culminated in the intensification of the liberal thinking needed by its member countries. It is intended, therefore, to understand the paths chosen by Brazil for this relationship and the possible current and future economic and/or political consequences, in the event of the conclusion of the Brazilian Accession to the Organization.
