RESUMO:

One of the great difficulties of chemistry, more specifically of organic chemistry, is to understand and visualize how organic compounds can interact with each other, having as a direct consequence on their properties, such as boiling point, melting point and solubility, for example. Aiming to investigate this, this work has as focus to analyze to what extent the possible constructions of images and visualizations can help graduates in the understanding of the properties of organic compounds in the diverse representational levels. The research proposes as public target, undergraduate students of a public university, enrolled in the discipline of Practices of Teaching of Chemistry II (PEQ II). The collection and analysis of the data was based on audiovisual recordings, also contemplating the technique "think aloud" in the proposed action, based on moments that work different strategies at the representational levels, so that it is possible to analyze the possible difficulties and questions of the students involved. In addition, based on the data obtained, categories were created and elaborated for analysis, which will be compared with the drawings made by the students, to obtain a direction in relation to the previous analysis of the data, intervening so that the objectives are achieved and enabling a qualitative treatment of the data for the final analysis.
