THE HISTORICAL TALE CONTRIBUTING TO PROBABILITY TEACHING IN THE EARLY YEARS OF FUNDAMENTAL EDUCATION
From earliest times tales have had a great fascination with children. These are stories that sharpen the imagination and awaken to extraordinary worlds, besides the interest in reading in the school process that helps in the formation of personality, because each character presented arises the ability to identify and discern between the real and the imaginary. In addition, we believe that history has great cultural and social value. This value should be worked in the classroom, allowing students to show that content is not a static and ready-made field of knowledge, but is constantly changing according to the needs of each nation and region throughout history. The aim of the present study was to investigate the learning of 4th grade students, taking into account situations involving basic concepts of probability through the historical tale called: Did you know that children played with tiles a long time ago , in France? In the present investigation, the Didactic Situations Theory - TSD served as a support for the evaluation of the Probabilities intervention activity supported by the historical tale for students of the early years of Elementary School, seeking the development of competences and skills related to the basic notions of probability.
