Museums of science: possibilities of scientific literacy in planetary
We understand science museums and centers as important tools for teacher and student training, and are a space for awakening the interest of science-related topics for spontaneous and school visitors. Thus, a place conducive to scientific dissemination, knowledge production, reflections and scientific literacy. For this research, was used a qualitative methodology, from the perspective of a case study, in which an analysis of the exhibition space of museal spaces was performed. Thus, this research aimed to analyze the possibilities of scientific literacy of the astrological complex of Sabina – School Park of Knowledge from the permanent collection in its Astronomical Laboratory, interactive possibilities in the open spaces of the Sky Observation Center and presentations and activities performed at Johannes Kepler Planetarium and Cine Dome. Therefore, discussions are presented from theoretical frameworks, seeking to establish and expose the concepts and understandings used to conduct the research. Regarding the data collected and analyzed, from the indicators proposed in the literature on museum education, it is possible to conclude that the physical space of the astronomic complex as an important means of scientific literacy, not only for spontaneous visitors and school groups, but for the educator of the science center.
