COMMUNICATION OF THE CONCEPT OF FUNCTION FROM GEOMETRIC TREATMENT: an analysis of teacher knowledge
This report presents an investigation that aimed to investigate the practice of the teacher who teaches Mathematics from the use of tasks on the concept of function in High School. For that, theoretical framework were used that focused on the students' learning of basic education and the practice of the teacher who teaches Mathematics. Especially, in relation to the communication of typologies of the function concept. The research has a qualitative nature and had as participants the researcher himself, who seeks to reflect on his professional practice in the classroom in the development of the task and the students of the 1st grade of the regular high school of a public school in the State of São Paulo. The data production was developed based on three aspects: (1) elaboration of tasks on the concept of function; (2) execution of tasks by students in the classroom and (3) reflection on protocols and audits on teacher and student knowledge. The possible results of the research will show how the tasks promote the communication of the concept of function, highlighting the dimensions of the teacher's knowledge.
