The present work aims to understand what families think about Comprehensive Sexuality Education (EIS) at school and discover ways to develop trust, partnership and engagement for the development of work at school aiming at self-knowledge and self-protection. The methodology used was action research, divided into three stages: the first consisted of a digital questionnaire, the second in a Focus Group meeting with the participants of the first stage, with the objective of bringing the data collected and presenting work on EIS already developed, as well as presenting the contents and forms of work in accordance with the bibliographic references. The third stage consisted of filling out an evaluation form after the group meeting, with the impressions and opinions of the participating families. After collecting results, data analysis was carried out based on Thematic Analysis, in which careful reading and coding were carried out to identify themes. It was found that families had no knowledge about the content covered in EIS and the thoughts that permeated their imagination were mainly the issue of gender, being one of the families' concerns when approaching the topic in the classroom, as well as the age of the children and the teachers’ methodology. So far, we can conclude that training with families in meetings, in which we inform them about content, methodologies and work carried out, can constitute an action to develop their partnership and engagement in working with the school, prioritizing their rights and protecting our children.
