Emotions and conflicts in teaching: how a training course for elementary school teachers can impact their conceptions about conflict in the classroom.
The practice of resolving conflicts in schools has been studied in recent decades, but there is no consensus on the best method to resolve them, nor is there a common concept of what conflict is. What exists, unfortunately, is a lack of scientific and methodological rigor in these studies about the effectiveness of these practices in schools. Thus, this project aims to investigate whether a course on emotions and conflict resolution practices impacts the way in which the concept of conflict is perceived by public school teachers. This impact will be evaluated using the Forma Mentis Network, a methodology that analyzes what people think and feel in relation to a given concept. Such perception analyzes will be carried out before and after the application of a course on emotions and conflict resolution practices. developed especially for this research. The central hypothesis is that the course will positively modify the valence of the concept of conflict.
