SUMMARY:

With the exceptional changes that have taken place in society due to the increasing use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), new students are being required to take a critical role in the current sociocultural and sociopolitical context and also to provide training capable of placing them in the context in who live, so that they are properly inserted as citizens, knowing how to properly use technologies and worrying about their impacts on the different panoramas of humanity. In this context, the educational aspects called Critical Mathematics Education (EMC) and Education in Science, Technology and Society (ECTS) become perceptible, which cover a more humane, integral and quality education, based on the construction of a critical and autonomous identity, committed to society. As well as the possibility of ICT reaching out to them, in order to cooperate with both thoughts, is also perceptible. In view of the notes, there is an interest in investigating the following questions: what are the main didactic-pedagogical contributions that the teaching activities of Mathematics mediated by ICT can bring to a critical, citizen and humanitarian formation of students, meeting the theoretical assumptions from EMC and ECTS? Furthermore, what are the main challenges for the use of ICT in Mathematics teaching? There is a need for the researcher to analyze whether ICT in Mathematics Teaching can meet the two mentioned educational trends. This is because both are essential for a better quality education and value integral training, providing fundamental knowledge for the full and conscious exercise of citizenship. In this context, the objectives of this research will be to discuss the teaching of Mathematics mediated by ICT, in order to find out what are the main didactic-pedagogical contributions that its use can bring to a critical, citizen and humanitarian formation of students. Another objective will be to analyze what are the main challenges for the use of ICT in the teaching of Mathematics. The research has a qualitative approach, its objective is descriptive and uses bibliographic procedures for its development. This work does not have the objective of measuring the results, but rather to carry out an interpretation of a reflexive and subjective nature. In this perspective, in order to meet the objectives, articles found in the databases SciELO Brasil and Portal de Periódicos da Capes will be analyzed. of search established in the research. The focus is to analyze, in particular, the results that these activities achieved, noted and described by the authors themselves in the analyzed materials.
