SUMMARY:

The conception about the word experimentation illustrates the essence and purpose of submitting and analyse the phenomenon.  The comprehension about this conception is of great relevance for this research. For science this notion is essential since its main goal is the search of the true knowledge and the control of phenomena. One of several philosophers who worked with this conception was Francis Bacon. From the work of this philosopher, it was introduced in schools and universities. The intent was the development of scientific activities and science education. Nowadays the science education in schools can be reconciled with use of textbooks. These are distributed by the MEC, which organizes the PNLD. The main function of this program is to evaluate the books registered through criteria that are establish in notice and are evaluated by committee composed by specialist from different areas of subjects in basic education. According to this information is outlined this work goal which shows the study about evaluation criteria on experimentation that are existing in guides from 1996 between 2019 from initial and final elementary school. As the PNLD guide is treated as a document it’s given the documentary research method. For the study of this guides, the three stages from content analyses that Bardin shows can be use. These are pre-analysis, exploration of the material, and treatment of results. For the results there was the division of two topics. The first was called Criteria identification in which was made the exploration in the criteria about experimentation besides the quantity presented in some guide. The second was called Criteria studies, in which was worked on more thorough that related with the pre-established search indicator terms. There was the comprehension that the criteria could be divided from through pedagogical aspects of the science area and safety aspects in the laboratory. There were also the analyses between similarity and difference of the criteria, and in which guides this happened. As well as the continuity, the discontinuity, the joining of these criteria in successive editions of the guides. Thus, the criteria received appointment and operations. With the analyses from these criteria, it was also understood that they may be dived in different periods. In others hand, through the ideas that they presented can be assimilated that each period in which guide and criteria can be show a different idea from experimentation. This research from this moment brings information that wouldn’t a lot of changes in questions that involved the policy of this program. If the criteria were the same or were changed, such as adding new terms and new teaching perspectives. For the end of this questions that was worked, it’s necessary a systematic revision of research has already done about the theme.
