RESUMO:

This work deals with the formation of teachers in the early years of elementary school with a focus on teaching science and scientific literacy. Throughout this research, we verified the historical aspects that involved the institution of teaching courses and subsequently the Degree in Pedagogy, in addition to the mandatory science teaching in the early years from 1971. For this, we selected six educators in order to answer the following questions: What is learned about AC in the initial training reaches the classroom? How do such teaching practices meet the scientific education presented at the BNCC? How do these proposed activities contribute to children's citizenship education? We collect data from interviews with educators via the messaging application and requesting science activities. The analysis of the data, via Content Analysis, of the didactic sequences used Sasseron's axes and indicators as a base tool, in addition to the BNCC itself. As a result, we found that even having contact with scientific disciplines, educators still have difficulties related to science teaching and focusing on the subjects of Mathematics and Portuguese Language due to external exams. Thus, we point out the need for investment in continuing education, aimed at the professionalization of these educators. We also observed, in the historical field of the training of these teachers, the non-specification of documents that deal with this science teaching, emphasizing the practice of non-teaching, thus, as a way to remedy these failures, the Common Curricular Base (BNCC) was created, the contents to be worked on in basic education, from early childhood education and the insertion of Scientific Literacy that is included in the nomenclature of Scientific Literacy.
