INTEGRAÇÃO DE SISTEMAS DIGITAIS NA GESTÃO DA QUALIDADE: DESAFIOS E OPORTUNIDADES NA INDÚSTRIA AUTOMOTIVA
Quality management in the automotive industry faces significant challenges
arising from the fragmentation of systems and information, impacting operational
efficiency and agility in decision-making. This complex scenario prevents a
holistic view of processes and hinders full product traceability. To mitigate this
issue, this dissertation proposes and analyzes the implementation of a modular
and integrated Quality Execution System. Such a system aims to unify data,
standardize processes, and optimize communication among the different areas,
establishing a robust infrastructure for operational excellence. The research
explores how digital transformation acts as a catalyst for overcoming these
barriers, with a special focus on the creation of digital threads. These digital
threads are essential to ensure continuous connectivity and data traceability
throughout the entire product life cycle, from design to after-sales. The integration
of real-time information, enabled by these threads, is fundamental to proactive
quality management. Additionally, knowledge management is identified as a key
pillar, serving as a foundation for digitalization and for the sustainability of the
implemented improvements. The methodology employed combined an in-depth
case study in an automotive company. This approach revealed a gap in the
academic literature, particularly the lack of empirical studies addressing the
implementation of integrated Quality systems in the automotive sector, reinforcing
the relevance and originality of this work. Digital transformation has promoted
significant changes in how organizations manage their processes, especially in
the industrial sector. The study starts from the observation that data
fragmentation across spreadsheets, reports, and isolated systems hinders
traceability and compromises decision-making. The research adopts an applied
approach, with a descriptive-explanatory nature and a single-case study
methodological strategy, enabling real-time monitoring of the implementation.
The proposed system integrates quality tools into a single modular digital
platform; this platform connects to the organization’s industrial automation
pyramid, promoting process visibility and supporting decision-making at all levels
operational, tactical, and strategic. Among the results obtained, the reduction in
the average time to resolve problems, improved integration between areas, and
employees’ positive perception regarding the system’s usability stand out.
