THE WEATHER AND SOCIOECONOMIC INFLUENCES IN RESIDENTIAL ELECTRIC ENERGY CONSUMPTION PER CAPITA: A study in Brazil
municipalities
There are many studies around the planet, referring to the influence of different
aspects and variables on residential energy consumption. These studies are carried
out in specific contexts and places, which have different climatic, social, cultural and
economic characteristics. However, studies on the influence of aspects and variables
that are monitored in Brazil on residential energy consumption in their municipalities
are not identified. This study aims to investigate the meteorological and
socioeconomic influences on the consumption of residential electricity per capita
(EERpc), through statistical analysis of Regression, data mining and the identification
of clusters, with the aid of Artificial Intelligence. Data on residential electricity
consumption, meteorological variables and the IDHM of a sample containing 135
municipalities in Brazil will be analyzed. As a result, it is expected to expand the
knowledge of how the various aspects studied influence the consumption of EERpc
in Brazilian municipalities.
