Annual program workshop (JWBE)
Every year PPGEBM organizes the Joint Workshop on Biomedical Engineering (JWBE), which brings UFABC faculty and students together with researchers from other institutions in Brazil and abroad, with talks and paper presentation sessions.

| JWBE 2024 — UFABC and UNIFESP Biomedical Engineering Workshop Dates: 01/10/2024 and 02/10/2024, online. In partnership with UNIFESP’s Graduate Program in Biomedical Engineering, with presentations by students and faculty and awards. | I WEBM — 2023 — 1st Workshop of the UFABC Biomedical Engineering Program Dates: 08/03/2023 and 09/03/2023, online. First edition, with foreign researchers and Brazilian speakers, and a space for students from UFABC and other institutions to present completed or ongoing work. Medicina in silico: unindo a comunidade para o avanço do setor de saúde (2023)

1st Integrated Graduate Seminar Series (2020)
With activities offered remotely during the covid-19 pandemic, in 2020 PPGEBM held the 1st Integrated Seminar Series, on the theme “Integration and interdisciplinarity in Biomedical Engineering”: weekly webinars on Thursdays, streamed live on the program’s YouTube channel. The aim was to broaden students’ knowledge of the different areas of Biomedical Engineering and open the way to new research partnerships.
