RESUMO:

The diversification of the energy matrix with the use of renewable energy sources is a socio-economic and environmental attitude adopted to meet growing energy demand and reduce the absorption capacity of an environment. The transportation sector was the second largest consumer of final energy in Brazil and, mainly, the consumption of diesel oil. In order to make a dependence on diesel and environmental life, biodiesel was produced in 2005 through Law No. 11.097 and went to diesel in internal combustion engines of compression ignition. To be a quality biodiesel commercialized in biodiesel are obligate to be used quality biodiesel with parameters, maximum max values and assay methods. Among the parameters of quality, it is worth mentioning the water content, which is capable of promoting a biodiesel from biodiesel itself, degrading it more quickly when it reaches the free release of pounds, besides the possibility of causing the proliferation of microorganisms, metallic corrosion and deposition in storage tanks and in engines. The proposal of food alternatives, the adequacy of the analysis of biodiesel properties to the specificities of each sample and the greater possibility of reproducibility and repeatability is an important strategy associated to the development of new products. In this sense, a viability of the use of the spectroscopy to measure the water content in biodiesel to be constructed is realized. The main project is evaluated by the water content and the hygroscopicity effect of soybean biodiesel samples and their mixtures, using a spectrophotometric probe. Biodiesel and diesel-biodiesel blends are prepared in the laboratory from soybean oil and commercial commercial diesel (type A) and, for an application of spectrophotometric technology, such as UV light analysis and analysis: -Vis and emission of light, water content analysis, elemental analysis (C, N, H, S, O and Cl) and determination of the calorific heat of the fuel and mixtures. In addition, execute the sentences using the reference procedures for an evaluation of being a studied.
