RESUMO:

This work aims to detect the motor status of parkinsonian patients from local field potentials from the subthalamic nucleus submitted to the procedure for implanting electrodes for deep electrical stimulation. The detection of motor states from these signals may contribute to the definition of new adaptive strategies for deep electrical stimulation, i.e., to improve the most important therapy to alleviate motor symptoms in Parkinson's disease when pharmacological treatment is no longer efficient.
