RESUMO:

The problem of voltage stability in power systems is one of the main responsible for major blackouts in these systems. In order to avoid this problem, the voltage stability margin of the system is maintained above a certain threshold for both normal operating conditions and contingency. However, in a system with high penetration of wind generation, it is also necessary to evaluate cases in which the variation of wind generation can lead the system to operate at a point where the stability margin results in a value below the recommended. In this context, the Cross Entropy method is used in this work to generate scenarios, whose variations in power of the wind generators can result in unsafe operation points, that is, in an operation point that the voltage stability margin is under the recommended value. It is noteworthy that the identification of these scenarios is important for the definition of preventive or corrective controls so that once this operating scenario occurs or it becomes more likely, such control actions will be carried out.
