RESUMO:

The present work verifies the hypothesis of realization of compensation of the loss of efficiency in the conversion of electrical energy in photovoltaic modules, as a function of the working temperature, with the increase of electrical energy conversion by cogeneration, using the thermal energy of the modules in operation, converted into electrical energy by the Seebeck effect, by modules that use thermoelectric generators - TEG. The study considers the theoretical analysis of what is already known about the subject and the equipment considered, and also the use of simulation to test the hypotheses of the system in application in various areas within the State of São Paulo – Brazil. The State of São Paulo was defined as the study region as it is a unit of the federation that presents a considerable variation in environmental temperature in its territory. For the calculations and simulation of the
behavior of the equipment, data provided by the manufacturers are used. For the environmental data of the operating conditions of the set, in the different areas of the State, climatological records for a period of one year are used. The analysis of the study indicates the technical feasibility of using the assembly of the set to reduce losses caused by the working temperature of the photovoltaic modules and also by the possibility of compensating these losses, however, using for this purpose a considerable number of TEG units for each commercially photovoltaic module, therefore it is considered interesting to study the fabrication of the set.
