“The class as happening: alphabet for a philosophical doing.”
The work presented here reflects on the idea of class as happening through an
experience report of a high school philosophy teacher at a private school in São Paulo
between 2019 and 2021. The work is constituted from records made in classroom , as a
kind of journal, which at a later stage serve as a basis for a reflection on the notion of
happening in the classroom and its strength. Most texts are narratives about facts, but
they are mixed with conceptual texts and reflections on the practice of teaching . The
texts in question are organized in the form of an alphabet, enabling a disruptive and
non-chronological reading of the events. This research has as its conceptual basis,
mainly, the concept of becoming in Deleuze and of experience as thought by Jorge
Larrosa. This academic work offers itself as a provocateur about the practice of
teaching, that is, an invitation to think of ourselves as educators.
