RESUMO:

The recent scenario of increasing penetration of mobile internet and the popularization of smartphones created conditions of greater access to financial products and services through financial technology (fintech). This work aims to verify if there are elements in fintech services that can help include in the financial system people that are currently excluded or just partially included. To achieve the proposed objective, in addition to research on the subject, an econometric model was estimated using data provided by POF 2017-18. According to the result of the estimation, it can be concluded that fintech contributes to the financial inclusion in Brazil.
