RESUMO:

In this work, the transmission mechanisms of the adjustment of the minimum wage to inflation were analyzed in light of the distributive conflict between workers and entrepreneurs. The literature used was post-Keynesian and neo-Kaleckian. To measure the impact of the minimum wage appreciation policy on inflation, the strategy was to use the VAR (Vector Autoregression) method. The study applies to the Brazilian economy between 2003 and 2016. The empirical results indicate that there was no significant transfer of the automatic minimum wage adjustment to inflation in the period analyzed.
