Rheology is one of the fundamental tools in defining the appropriate conditions for ceramic processing from suspensions and allows minimizing the insertion of heterogeneities in the material, inherent to ceramic processing and which may make the products unfeasible. In this sense, conformation via Gel Casting is an appropriate technique for the production of bone replacement elements, as it allows the conformation of pieces with complex geometries and that present specificities, as for example, bones. Therefore, in this work, we deepened a study of the rheological behavior of concentrated aqueous suspensions of bioceramics based on beta tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) and gelatin so that they can be formed by gelation (gel casting).
