RESUMO:

This work aimed at obtaining polymeric matrix nanocomposites with antimicrobial action. This nanocomposite will be used to produce hospital stretchers. Due to the pandemic scenario of Covid-19, there was a need to make antimicrobial materials viable to prevent the rapid spread of diseases, among others that can be transmitted in a hospital environment. PVC was chosen as the polymer matrix for the final product due to its low cost, its versatility to be formed in different types of processes, in addition to the compounds that can provide the desired mechanical characteristics in the final product. As an antimicrobial agent, AgNP is chosen, as several studies presented in this work have great efficacy in this action. During the development of this project, the characteristics of each material will be addressed, the processing that will be used to make the final products. The materials used were previously characterized, the mixing was carried out through an internal rotor mixer. However, a future need to carry out this mixture through a dry blend was detected. The mechanical characteristics of the nanocomposite and the antimicrobial action were evaluated. To meet the objective of the proposed investigation, this study was carried out through a qualitative research of the bibliographic review article type, which says that it is a procedure adopted to address what is already known about the topic, what are the gaps existing and the main theoretical obstacles. In this research, we will carry out a bibliographic survey in search of information where we will use qualitative investigation techniques such as: theoretical review, and bibliographic sources. The objective is to broaden the understanding of the subject discussed.
