RESUMO:

This qualification memorial presents the current stage of master's research initiated in 2018 in the Graduate Program in Territory Planning and Management of Federal University of ABC (PGT-UFABC), entitled “The rural area of the municipality of São Paulo in the face of the extensive urbanization process ”, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Luciana Travassos. This memorial is organized in three parts. The first reports on academic activities carried out presenting the disciplines taken, participation in congresses and other activities complementary. The second part presents the updated research project, the research plan writing of the dissertation and brief description of the content of the proposed chapters. 

Finally, in the third part presents the preliminary version of chapter 3 and the scheduled works.
