The cultural dimension in the theoretical and the practices and in the territorial planning field: An analysis of the planning culture approach from scientific productions
Territorial planning is not static and merely formal-legal, but rather a process of flowing into a dominant set of practices that reflect style, priorities of social groups and actors of planning institutions, as well as values, beliefs of a collective Social. As highlighted in the literature, the same territory is subject to different visions of practices and understandings about the planning and the cultural context in which the plans are inserted influence both the permanence and the transformation of the planning systems. With the premise that the culture of a nation, a region as well as a range of professionals influences the planning of the territory, the present study aims to analyze how the scientific environment proposes the analysis of this process considering the cultural dimension . And in what measures this approach helps in understanding and understanding the different planning practices. After the analysis of the state of the art, we seek to organize a theoretical and methodological framework that allows the research on spatial planning with an extended view, considering the cultural dimension, in the context of the São Paulo macro-metropolis.
