Ecofeminist practices and debate on territories in Latin America: contributions to Territorial Planning
In the 21st century, we have witnessed the flourishing of (eco)feminist movements in rural spaces advocating for territories, waters, forests, and linked to alternative proposals to the hegemonic development model, such as agroecology, solidarity economy, and bien vivir. This work examines feminist discussions about territories, woven between theory and practice, and establishes a dialogue with territorial planning, an emerging perspective that seems to have a lot to talk about with feminisms. From this section, we reviewed the literature on Feminist Political Ecologies and Ecofeminism in Latin America, as well as documents from (eco)feminist movements and collectives of the last decade, mostly available on the Internet. Seeking to contribute to the debate on the territorial approach to planning and development, the main strands and concepts that emerge in this confluence between feminisms, territory and environment are presented. And we identify concepts, methodologies and practices proposed from the territories that contribute to putting life at the center of planning.
