SUMMARY:

The objective of this research is to understand the limits of the narratives about sustainable transitions in food systems. The central argument is that in the process that involves identifying the challenges of transitions and proposing ways of facing these challenges in the normative and political fields, there has been a loss of the systemic perspective, resulting in institutions and social coalitions that are insufficient to drive the food systems to a more sustainable future.
