SUMMARY:

This research aims to analyze water crises as learning opportunities for changes that favor the transition to more resilient water governance models given the impacts generated or amplified by droughts, and/or conflicts of interest in the different uses of water. The project aims to contribute to the co-production of knowledge on guidelines and practices to strengthen the adaptive capacity and anticipation of water governance in the face of climate variations, addressing discussions on aspects of water resilience, water security, social learning, and adaptive capacity in South America. This document presents information about the research and the academic and professional trajectory that led to the preparation of the study, including objectives, hypotheses, guiding questions, conceptual and methodological basis, results, and preliminary discussions, as well as the planning and schedule of activities until the conclusion of the study. It also addresses the structure of the chapters proposed for the dissertation.
