SUMMARY:

This research aims to contribute to the understanding of the territorial dynamics that occurred in the last two decades in the areas of expansion of the agricultural frontier in the Brazilian Amazon, identifying, in the diversity of territorial configurations, the main instances and elements of stimulus or block to adoption of a sustainable and inclusive development model, one of the main challenges for the country today. More specifically, we intend to identify the interdependencies that allow explaining the differentiated performance of selected territories in terms of reducing deforestation.
