SUMMARY:

This work has as its theme the metropolitan transport the Metropolitan Region of the Paraíba Valley and North Coast (RMVPLN), in the State of Sao Paulo. The objective of the project is to analyze metropolitan transport of RMVPLN. Therefore, for the development of research and of the thesis, it is necessary to understand concepts related to the subject, especially in metropolitan planning and governance, transportation and the contextualization of RMVPLN, identifying the regional characteristics, consolidation of the metropolitan fact and the institutions involved in the metropolitan transport governance.
