RESUMO:

This research aims to investigate if new mechanisms and practices of use and occupation of urban land were triggered after the elaboration and completion of geotechnical maps of aptitude for urbanization, identify the challenges encountered for its implementation and indicate possible measures that may solve the difficulties encountered. . For the present work, the research object will be the city of Ribeirão Pires / SP.

This is a case study, with qualitative data analysis. The methodology to be applied will be documentary, with critical review of thematic bibliography, research of elaborated documents and field visits.
